Back in September when I was running the big contest one of my winners was Casey Bradshaw of Bradshaw Blades. He wrote me and told me about his knives and asked If I wanted to give one away/ test it. My answer is always Yes to playing with gear and giving it away. I have been busy beating on his knife and am finally ready to give my thoughts on the quality and give it away.
Today I have a review of my favorite EDC flashlight. It is the Streamlight PT 2L. The PT 2L is a small tactical flashlight weighing in at only 2.8 oz and 4.68 inches in length. For its small size it puts out an incredible 180 lumens. The PT 2L runs off of two CR123A Lithium batteries. It has three modes: Hi (180 Lumens for 2.5 hours) Low (50 lumens for 50 hours) and a strobe mode (up to 6 hours). It is waterproof to 1 meter for thirty minutes.

Whether you carry a gun everyday or not, it’s a good idea to also carry a less lethal method of protection on your person as well. As an example you may be in a situation where you are being assaulted by an unarmed person where using a gun or knife to defend yourself may be considered excessive force – in a situation like this pepper spray may be a good option if it is legal in your area.
Today I have a quick product you should be using. It’s Evernote and its a note app and much more. I heard about the app in a blog or a book and decided to give it a try. I’ve yet to fully use all the potential of Evernote but love it for what it can do. Let me tell you why you should be using it in your daily life and what benefits it has for us preppers.
