    How To Fight The Government

How To Fight The Government. Do you ever ask yourself that question? Do you come up with fantasy answers? Fighting the Government Red Dawn style with your main battle rifle. How about infiltrating them to fight from within?

Most of us pick and choose our battles. Mostly doing whats right, quietly, and daring them to say anything. Battles are being fought all over the country. Some being won by the resistance. Some won by big brother.

Is there a better way how to fight the government? Let’s explore a thought I’ve had recently.

  • Income Tax And You

    Income Tax And You

Tax season is upon us. For many this means tax refunds. Hopefully you use your wisely. It is money being returned to you after a thief stole “too much”. For some you will owe the IRS more money. I’m sorry for you. I have owed them money in the past. Nothing worse than being told that after a year of theft you owe more money.

We aren’t here to talk about those that are over taxed and those that pay nothing. That is a topic for another time. Today is about a misconception. That the income tax being stolen from you does something for your country. I read the following on Facebook recently.

“Let me look at it for what it is.. it’s an investment. Supposedly. My tax dollars are an investment into this country, and for it to be a sound investment; then I would have to *believe* in this country.”

The post went on about how our “leaders” are incompetent. Policy is getting worse and worse. To be honest all good points. With the exception of it being based on a fallacy. What is the  fallacy” Let’s find out.

  • Cleaning With Salt

    Cleaning With Salt

Cleaning with salt is an idea I got from the BBC farm series. I have used kosher salt to clean my cast iron skillets for years. Up until recently that was the only cleaning with salt I did. Now that I’m living in the tiny house without running water I had to make some changes. Doing dishes became an even bigger choir.  I never was a fan of dishes and even less now.

My solution was cleaning with salt. Not really a revolutionary idea more a return to the norm. Humans have used salt to clean with for centuries. So let’s look at the how and why of cleaning with salt.

Eating Expired foods is a topic that comes up often in the survival community. Some of you are terrified of the though. Others, like myself, could care less. Eating expired food is not a worry of mine for several reasons. Some personal reasons and some proven science.

Before we get into the meat of this article I have a few warnings. First a disclaimer. I’m no doctor. I am not advising you to eat expired food. I present this article as information. I will share some studies, personal experience and thoughts. Do with it what you will.

  • Cold Weather Gear At Home

This is a subject that has really hit home for me. The tiny house is no ice box but can get pretty cold. With the plummeting temps keeping warm inside is a real problem. Having the right cold weather gear is important.  Running the heaters, a small electric one and a small kerosene, all the time is not possible. The Kerosene is being saved for especially cold nights. The electric one gets ran in short blocks of time. Usually in the morning. The sun warms up the house enough during the day time.

How do I make it through the nights and evening time? What cold weather Gear do I use to make life more survivable and comfortable? Let me share with you what I use.
