SurvivAmino

SuvivAmino Review

I was contacted by another paleo prepper blogger, Bug Out Nutrition, a while back about a new product he was reviewing. The product was SurvvAmino and it was designed to be a light weight long term storage of protein. Since good sources of protein of hard to store it is often lacking in most preppers food storage plan. I for one do not plan on living on bean and rice during a disaster so protein and fat are big parts of my food storage. I never like to review things without really evaluating them and would have liked to do a few more tests with this but I am finally ready to share my thoughts on this product.

Thoughts On Raw Milk

I have been interested in trying raw milk for a while now. Even more so after a documentary I watched about it. I wish that it could have been an easy thing to try. Just head to the store buy a gallon and drink. Unfortunately oppressive laws here in the U.S make that very hard in most areas and impossible in others. The freshest best for you milk is very illegal and selling it could land you in prison with felony charges. Fortunately for me though my state is not completely stupid and makes it legal to buy in the form of a CSA from the farmer. So although I can’t walk into the nearest grocery store and grab some I have options. Some farmer markets in my state also sale them for pet consumption. Today I’ll tell you how I found some and what my thoughts are about it.

Let’s get down to business on this amazing light.

Backup Files, The Cloud And You

One of the main reason for the lack of updates recently was my laptop troubles. It became unstable and would often not turn on. I borrowed one from my brother and was able to get some posts out but still had issues. Mine was set up to be efficient on writing articles and I was used to it. The keys were all in the wrong place on the borrowed one and I made even more spelling errors than normal. I was holding out till this past weekend, that was tax free, to get a new laptop and continue writing. I still have some work to do to get used to the new one and set it up. So far I’m hating windows 8 by the way. besides having to buy a new one though the old one dying didn’t bother me very much. Normally it means the loss of data and valuable things. With me I didn’t have that problem and I will share with you what I did to make my system prepared for a failure.

Repost: Tax Free Weekend And Back To School For Preppers

I originally posted this a year ago and thought it was relevant again. The tax free weekend is especially timely for me since my laptop died recently and I decided to hold off for this weekend to save a few bucks.

Starting today and running through the weekend in many parts of the country is tax free weekend. It’s mostly for clothes, school supplies and some electronics. Although I don’t support blowing money on things you don’t need, but if you need to replace or upgrade now is the time.

Personally anytime I can get things cheaper and screw the government out of taxes is a great day. They steal enough of my money with taxes anyway. I only wish that the limitations would come off and it would truly be tax free on everything.
