I got a crockpot for Christmas and decided to break it in with my cold weather stand by, Chili. When the temperature plummets I always turn to chili for comfort. Whether chili should or should not have beans is a heated debate. For me being paleo I of course will be making no bean chili. I guess you could ruin this recipe by adding beans. This will be a meat feast chili too so no vegans allowed. If you even think of making this with soy I will come to your house and punch you in the face. I’ve been hearing an awful lot about this knockout game lately and I’m can’t stand hearing about this sick game. I’m sure most of you have heard about it by now. It’s a twisted game where kid’s try to knock someone unconscious. The game should be renamed the murder game with all the lives that have been lost because of this. Not to detract from how fucked up it is to think it’s a good idea to go around attacking random people. Is this what a generation of fatherless young men think is a fun time? Were they raised by scum with no morals instilled in them? Whatever the reasons I don’t myself or any of you  to be a victim. Today I’ll share some strategies that could help you avoid it.

I decided to make some ginger cookies this year. They will of course be paleo and easy. There is  reason I usually don’t do baking recipes on the blog. I hate baking. It’s too precise, measured and times for me. I like my cooking to be freestyle. I searched around the web for a paleo ginger snap type cookie to base the recipe on and in the end decided to make it up completely. I based it on my paleo bread recipe I did last year. I like it because it’s so easy to make without strict recipe structure. So let’s once again start baking.

There are a few videos going around the web on heating a room using a Ceramic Flower Pot Heater. Powered by nothing but tea lights. The British video has the presenter saying it costs him 8 pence a day to heat his room. I did the math for you and that comes to .13 cents usd. With claims like that this video is going pretty viral in the survival community. If it turns out to be legit this is a great backup and off grid heat source. I knew I had to put on mythbuster had and give it a go.  I went to the store and got supplies and have been testing for over a week. Today I’ll share the result with you on whether it’s worth it.
