Last year on March 16th I published the first article on Survivalpunk. It all began with me showing you how to make Sauerkraut cheap and easy and I’ve been going strong since then. This marks the 238th post in the year which is just shy of a post every weekday of the year. The site has grown more than I would have believed in this year. I’ve made tons of new friends from the site and got to test some great gear. It’s been a great year and I plan on making the next year and the following ones even bigger. Enough babbling time to get down to the read reason for today’s post. Free stuff! I admit that this contest was not super organized. I had the idea to do a big giveaway kinda last minute and started asking for donations at the end of last month. So far I don’t have everything in and that is one of the reasons I’m going to run this contest longer than usual. I’m going to run it for one month. So lets get down to how to win and what you will be winning.
The Companies
First I want to thanks all the great folks that have donated items for this giveaway. I sent out a lot of emails. A ton in fact and got replies back from a good deal of them. I didn’t expect to get donation’s from all of them, hence the huge volume I sent. I had some companies jump at the chance which I love, some had to decline for various reasons. I appreciate the companies that although the declined were professional and good sports. For example on a whim I emailed Magpaul about a donation. I knew with the huge backorder they have they would not be participating. The customer service there were awesome though makes me respect them even more. There are a few companies though that think they are too good to reply at all which I feel is very unprofessional. Also it makes me want to spend my money with the fine folks that are on the following list over the ones that can’t send a reply. I’m going to include links to all the Facebook pages for the companies please go like them and thank them. The list of companies that have said they are willing to contribute are as follows:
I was actually kind of excited to get Bud K to get in on the giveaway. I grew up drooling all over their catalogs. They sent in wire saw’s and folding shovels to give away. Make sure to stop by their Facebook page and thank them.
If it’s nylon tactical gear you can’t beat S.O.E. Period. John and Amanda are fucking awesome and have contributed to every contest I’ve had. This time I have some peltor wraps to give away. If you run peltor ear protection you should grab one, I just upgraded to the peltor tactical 6-s’s and will be picking up one in the Survivalpunk red and black. Check them out on Facebook.
I first came across tactical tailor a few years ago when I got an alice pack. They were highly recommended for their ruck modifications. My favorite and what I feel is mandatory is to add fastex buckles to the ruck. They have some really great mods they do and original gear as well. They are sending out a bag I’ll add pictures soon. Like them on Facebook.
Zombease is a great blog with tons of DIY tutorials. They also have a great set of merit badge patches. They sent me over a few patches to give away. Make sure to like them on Facebook.
This book series is getting some great reviews. Sadly I have not read them yet. I just ordered books 1-4 and the fifth is launching at the end of the month. Glen has agreed to give away a copy of the upcoming fifth book straight from the publisher to you. This will be on of the prizes sent by the company and not included in the bix box of awesome from me. Check out the books Facebook Page.
Nite Ize makes some innovative products with their lights being my favorite. They are sending over a box of goodies to give away. Make sure to link them on Facebook.
I love the shirts from these guys. They have a line of awesome pro gun shirts. Make sure to check them out on Facebook.
I love Survival Gear Bags. Kelly runs a great shop with a great selection of gear to build your Bug Out Bag. He is sending over one of my favorite products, Frog Lube. I will not clean my weapons with anything else. Get over to Facebook and like him.
I’m a huge fan of med kits and first aid and knew I needed to include a one in this giveaway. This one will come straight from the company in your choice of colors. Stop by and like him on Facebook.
I’m super excited to be giving away an Eco Zoom Versa their top of the line stove. In fact I’m super jealous to have to give it away. I have been a fan of these stoves for a long time. This will ship directly from the company, thankfully since it weighs almost thirty pounds.Make sure to stop by and like them on Facebook.
Casey Bradshaw makes some great knives. I got to test and giveaway one of his knives a few months ago and loved it. He’s offering up another knife for this giveaway so stop by and like him on Facebook!
I emailed Jack about letting folks know about this contest and he said he will toss in two one year memberships to his awesome MSB program. If you buy anything in the prepper industry then this program will pay for itself. Make sure to like TSP on Facebook and more importantly become a listener if you are not already one.
I have a few more companies that I’m still working on the details with but already the prizes are pretty awesome. I was just going to give away one big prize. Since I have doubles of a few things I’m now going to do three winners. With the grand prize winner getting the most and third place getting whatever is left. If all goes well I should also be including the soon to be released Survivalpunk T-Shirts. For this giveaway I’m going to give the rafflecopter plugin a try. Make sure you like all the companies on Facebook and share the contest with your friends. Thanks to all of you for making this past year a huge success for me!
